7/28 Last minute update published with a rebalance and bugfixes.

This is "every few seconds",  my entry for Bevy Gamejam 5! It is an incremental game about finding the best combinations. Thank you for checking it out!

Right now there is no real content after you get improved Green orb, but I'm hoping to sneak some more in before the jam ends. :)

Controls:

Left Click - Insert the currently selected orb on the hotbar into the clicked socket.

Right Click - Remove the orb from the clicked socket.

1-5 - Select orb type. (Can also click the hotbar directly to select)

Camera Controls (when the relevant upgrade is unlocked)
Q or Wheel Down - Zoom Out

E or Wheel Up - Zoom In

WASD - Move

So, now its 100% blue only almost all of the time!

No, it's just a temporary step to great synergy power...

was green orb nerfed? I see screenshots of an upgrade I don't know if it is possible to reach

i'm on my 4th ring and i've discovered that just having all blue is somehow more effective than any of my previous elaborate combos

moments after clicking post comment, i accidentally clicked rate for bevy jam 5 instead of right clicking it to open it in new tab. i have lost all progress. oh well.

back to where i was quicker than expected

Not somehow. If you're on your 4th ring, that means you've maxed out blue orbs and they now generate additional income PER blue orb in each ring, but they also ACTIVATE all other blue orbs each time any of them activate. Seems like Dev fixed one mono-color scheme to only have another fall in its place!

But that's okay. If the dev decides to make a more "longetivitous" game, I would love to see the direction this goes in :) All in all, loved this game!

Imagine a world where Blue orbs aren't king... Where no single color can rule them all... Instead, it will take the full RAINBOW to unlock your maximal potential!! And then you prestige at some point, which unlocks "challenges" that you will have to overcome, albeit some challenges are not very strategic while others are -- well, let's just say it could be a doozy.

Hmm, I think it's possible to do better than only blues.

I guess the trick is maybe a little obscure?

It's my best... And 5e5-6e5 in one ring by automatic cycling

Cool game.

Additional circles feel like a chore at the moment as you simply copy your best solution to the new circle. Some way to copy&paste one circle on another would help here quite a lot. Also it would be cool if the circles had more interactions with each other or were somehow different. Like one circle has different amount of slots or a different multiplier or a different rotation speed.

Edit: Also an option to have new slots be filled with a certain color.

Is it really? Sometimes the best total solution is a mix of circles...

For a short while it is good to mix circles, but this strategy is only dominant for a short while. Soon after you get inter-circle synergies you get the advanced green slots, which basically mean "make everything green to win".

Started out pretty fun, I liked the choices of elements. although once you break the game there’s but clicking left. Gotten to 1e1111 pretty quickly.

It's wierd to me that same curcle (+)(<>)(+)(+)(<>)(+)(+)(<>)(+) can produce from $7 to $11, although they all have cooldown less than orb period.

This was really fun to play good work :)
